Staging musical theatre productions for youth in the North Grenville region!

We’re off to see The Wizard of Oz! The most magical adventure of all.

Follow the yellow brick road, over the rainbow and into The North Grenville Municipal Centre Theatre for fun packed family entertainment. Tickets go on sale Monday Feb 25th, 2013 for performances from April 5th to April 21st.

The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic 1939 MGM screenplay but as always Kemptville Youth Musical Theatre Company has added some interesting adaptations to help Dorothy find her way home. This new production contains all the much-loved songs from the Oscar winning movie score including; Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Follow the Yellow Brick Road, If I Only Had a Heart and We’re Off to See the Wizard. All the favourite characters and iconic moments will be there, plus a few surprises along the way - not just “lions and tigers and bears” but some new songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber and some new characters adding extra colour to the story. The entire family will be captivated as The North Grenville Municipal Centre Theatre is transformed into the mythical Emerald City with exciting special effects and scenery to re-tell the real story of Oz.

Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land, helped and hindered by the Witches of Oz, to meet the Wizard and obtain their heart’s desires.
